Question: How to get that initial class, from which you then get more bookings, when you have moved from out of state.
I am working on the scripts and owning them which I believe will make me more confident in approaching women but do you have any tips on getting that initial class booked when you are new to an area.

Lesley - I loved your presentation last night. Thank you for making the financial part of the business simple to understand. My question is---how do you handle a customer who cannot purchase at the class but schedules a second appointment in order to get free product. At the second appointment she still does not want to host a party but is expecting to receive some free product. What do you give her????
Cynthia~ wish I had a magical formula. I tried cute dialogues and promo's then one day it hit me that the women I was trying to book thought they were helping me by purchasing product then one day Philip said, have you told them what you really need...that you need to meet women through them....NOPE. So, cynthia the way I scheduled my first 4 classes was by being completely transparent and clear with what I was trying to accomplish. I called and said. "I know you want to support me and appreciate your willingess to buy product from me, but here's the thing...in order for me to build in that area I have to meet women....I would so much rather give you all your products for free or at my cost if you would just help me meet 4-5 cool women who might be willing to help me meet other women...I don't need sales...I need help in meeting people. Could you do that for me? I heard a huge 'ohhhhh' and the appointments were booked with total success....and that is also how I've continued to book. Now I'm going on living here for 1 1/2....how long do you think I can get away with that?????
sue~ thank you! a hostess gets up to 175 through 1/2 priced items....ie: when her friends book classes then the hostess get additional 1/2 off items...if they get the expensive items in our line...it really adds up!

I think communication is the key....why would your clients 'expect' free product from you at her second appt that WAS NOT A CLASS if you were clear that the FREE product was for sharing an appt with 3-5 friends as you shared your hostess plan? Okay, so lets say she somehow did not get that and you show up and she's like...where's my free stuff and you graciously explain that free product was a thank you for sharing your appt with a few friends so I can't honor the $50 in free (cuz she wouldn't have earned it anyway cuz she did not call in a guest list to begin with) so technically with the hostess plan I run....the only increment she 'could' have 'earned' was $10 for holding on original date....soooooo, I would be gracious and share...."I'm more than happy to give you a 1/2 priced off anything in our cosmetic line!" or whatever you want to offer to make ammends or you could stick to your guns!
Lesley, I agree with everyone....you were amazing (One of the best speakers I have ever heard in MK)!!! Everything was crystal clear on how and why you did everything, if I had to ask you a question it would be what is your recruiting technique? What are a few of your favorite statments whil holding an interview?
